Docks and Dimes

On Saturday Wesley and I took the girls to St. George's Island for a cookout with Wesley's co-workers. The girls had a great time playing on the dock, jumping on the trampoline and throwing the football around with daddy. On Sunday the girls and I participated in the March of Dimes walk for healthy babies. Brianna and Bailey loved the freedom of running through the streets of the town. We were very happy to have donated $100, with the help of our family and friends, to the March of Dimes charity. The girls were very proud of themselves and we enjoyed the rest of the day at home as a family.

Happy Easter

The Saturday before Easter we took the girls to the town Easter Egg Hunt. Despite the possibility of rain and the slight cold we decided to take the chance and hoped the rain would hold out until after the hunt. NOT! It started raining just as they called for Bailey's age group to go. Well, we were already there so there was no turning back. Wesley grabbed Bailey and took her out to the field. She ran around like crazy until she filled her bucket full of plastic eggs. Once all the eggs were found, Bailey and Wesley went to the car to dry off and wait for us to get done. In the meantime, Brianna and I stood on the sidelines waiting for her age group to go. 3 year olds, 4 year olds, 5 year olds, then it started to rain a little harder and the wind kicked up. By that time, Wesley and Bailey came by with an umbrella but we were not leaving! And neither were all the other crazys there! We had waited this long, Brianna was not going home empty basket. Finally, the 6 year old girls were called and Brianna stood on the starting line, basket in hand, cold and wet. Needless to say, she was a champ and came back with a basket full of plastic eggs just as her sister did. We couldn't race fast enough to the comfort of our warm and DRY van! Luckily, Easter Sunday was sunny and dry. The kids woke up to find that the Easter Bunny had filled their baskets with goodies. Afterwards, although the ground was still wet from Saturday's rain, we had a great Easter Egg hunt in our front yard, complete with talking "Come find me" eggs which the kids loved to find! After that we drove to the beach. We saw jellyfish and a pirate ship and had a great time checking out all the sights in Maryland. We hope you had a great Easter and Happy Spring!
