November 2009

I finally found a moment in all this chaos to post an update and a few pictures. As most of you know we moved into our new home in mid-November. And I must say, it has been the smoothest move thus far! The kids are adjusting perfectly and they love being in their new home. Amidst the move, Grandma Sears came down to spend Thanksgiving with us. We spent the day cooking our very own meal and afterward spent time with family in Cochran. We are nearly unpacked and thanks to Grandma Sears, we have the majority of our wall decor hung. The day after Thanksgiving we picked out a beautiful Christmas tree that the girls spent the night decorating. Then yesterday Wesley put the lights on the outside of the house. The decorating is nearly finished and before Christmas we will be completely unpacked and the house will be ready for Santa's arrival! And in case we don't get around to seeing you before the year's end, here's wishing everyone a safe and happy holiday with lots of love and cheer!

Super Bailey

So I decided to stop by the Halloween store today to hopefully find a new costume for Bailey since she no longer fits into her Tinkerbell costume. We lucked out and found the perfect costume for her. And she loves it! It was very fitting since she already runs around the house with a blanket tied around her neck saying "Super Bailey!!!". She also loves to tell me that she is Super fast or Super strong.


You can see how happy she is just by the smile on her face! I just hope she lets me take it off soon...

Cheerleading at the first Saints Game!

The Saints had their first two football games last night. I am not sure who won or if they were even keeping score because I was too busy watching Brianna cheer! The girls did a great job for only having 3 or 4 practices beforehand. They were louder than I thought they would be and Brianna even got to call a few cheers. I was so thrilled that some of our family was able to make it out to the game and I know Brianna was proud to see them there. It was a lot of fun and I am looking forward to the next game. The video below is of Brianna's favorite cheer so far.

The Saints Rock the House!

Spectacular September!

The best news ever has come our way today.....Wesley got a job at Robins AFB!!! The prayers of so many have been answered and we are so proud of Wesley. He will finally be coming home and soon our family will be together again. Wesley will be working in Texas until the beginning of October. Once he has returned from Texas, we will be working on getting our things moved back down from Maryland. He will start work at Robins shortly thereafter. We are so excited and we want to thank all of our family and friends who have been praying for us. We are truly blessed.

On another note, Brianna has been doing spectacular in school. Today she was awarded the Student of the Week award! She was given a gift certificate to a restaurant and a magnet to put on our car! Her teacher wrote me a note saying that Brianna does an excellent job at following the rules and that she is a role model to the other students! We are so very proud of her!

End of August

As August comes to an end I wanted to update the site with what else has been going on with the family this month. And of course to share some pictures. We were so happy to have Wesley come home for a visit. While he was here, he was able to see both of the girls riding their bikes. Brianna, who has never had training wheels, rode a bike within minutes of first getting up. Brianna has started cheerleading and will start cheering at games in early October. If you want her schedule let me know. The girls and I took a trip to Lawrenceville to celebrate (the girl's Great-Grandmother) my Grandmother's 90th birthday! The girls had a great time visiting with family and eating cake and Grandmommy (Great-Mommy) enjoyed seeing her "little darlings" (big and small). We also took time to go to the Marietta Square where the girls played on the train and as a special treat were able to take a ride on the horse drawn carriage. We all had a great time on the carriage ride. The girls were so excited that they pretended to be horses the rest of the night. Galloping around the town.
